The Silver Lining of Climate Change Linked Disasters

The silver lining on this dark ominous cloud. Is the insurance industry is being forced to raise their insurance premiums due to the increasing climate disasters world wide. The positive is people can't argue against a larger bill or repeat fossil fuel shrill talking points in a aim to avoid paying that bill. Nor use the latest conspiracy theories such as Jewish/ rich people using space lasers to create global warming. When you have to pay more for inaction on climate change mitigation.

The Governments have no problem subsidizing disaster. Just one more bill for the working class. Yet how long can this last? At some point the insurance industry collapses and Governments world wide can't rebuild due to lack of finances. Private industry is going to have the same problem.

What is starting to happen are Insurance companies just pay out once and then declare flooded or burnt areas uninsurable. So people who paid premiums all their lives have one pay out and can find it very difficult sell their property or get insurance ever again. This destroys the value of their homes and businesses. Which matters if you can't stay living there or make an income from destroyed land or infrastructure. Also who can reopen a coffee shop when the town is burnt down or grow this years food on toxic mud? The house always wins on the money stuff.

The other good news is there has being movement both in reforesting, etc and good carbon sequestration projects either on line or coming on line. Yet too many voters are still locked into the fossil shrill corporate lies and ignoring the warning of real scientists. Yet this will reduce as climatic linked disasters become more frequent. 

This has resulted in the Koch brothers funded Heritage Foundations plans under a second Trump term to put severe blocks in the way for democracy. The good news is that it appears Trumps legal woes will ultimately block him. Yet if he does make it to the 2024 November US Federal Election. He faces some serious obstacles in the woman's vote and the non white vote, to name a few. Another way of putting it is, if Trump actually wins, the world may be forced to side step America. 

Can we act collectively in time to turn this man made climatic disaster around? Regardless of recalcitrant countries. This remains to be seen. Yet we will have no choice but to succeed.

Who sadly make up a too large section of the Republican base. This is why Trump is polling around 60% and De Santos (Trump wanna be) is polling around 25%. For the precured candidate for the Republicans in 2024. So Republican strategists want to fight an election over culture war issues such as gay and transgender rights.

Another major piece of news is in the first week at the box office the new Barbie movie grossed over one billion. In the US. I can hear the blocky block tears from here in Aus. Jorden Peterson would not be impressed.

It saddens me if a Democrat had done what Trump had done. Either refusing to recognise he lost the election legitimately or removed highly secretive and important US military documents such as the nuclear codes and Americas and allies strategic defense plans. An then put these documents in his bathroom next to a photo copier. The howls of there must be blood from the Magas would be heard all over the world. Then there is his business interests in Russia in the billions and his shady relationship with Putin. Yet they are still lining up to support him above all other Republican candidates for the 2024 election.

The good news is he hasn't a chance in hell of winning. Rupert has already washed his hands of him and well dear Putin and his Russia Now news plus his pro Trump on line trolls will largely be gone. Independents, Republican moderates and Democrats will, in fear of the horror of another Trump presidency and his open plans for mass public executions will destroy the Republicans hope for 2024 and possibly 2028 as well. Then there are the mad as QAnon Jebus Freak nutters claiming even moderate right policies are a Marxist communist plots. Who are all over the Republican party at both Federal and state level. Enacting book bans and removing a woman's right to choose if she will go through with the pregnancy.

The Trump appointed supreme court judges now upholding a business right now to not serve a gay or transgendered person on religious grounds. Well quite frankly the Republicans southern strategy has blown right up in their faces and quite bluntly the Republicans who are now dominated by the Christian far right, Magas and QAnon people who believe the world is run by alien lizards wherein human masks and Hillary is one of them( Oh dear) Are unelectable. This will be a hard sell even for Rupert.

Sorry a big rant coming. Got to give it to Sky News. Rupert's down under shit for brains crap as rag. Big headlines "Trump is becoming more popular in the court of public opinion." For starters why is this important for Australia? Furthermore this openly anti democratic monster wants to be America's first Emperor. He is also on the public record for wanting to bring back public mass executions .You also have major Republicans like John Bolton, Chriss Christie and Bill Barr, all of whom served under Trump's last administration. Warning us this guy is a lunatic. Then you have America's Nuclear codes and other high security documents sitting in Trump's bathroom beside a photo copier. This guy is possibly a Putin asset. He has billions of dollars tied up in Russian businesses and property. Seriously Murdoch media goons this is way more than beyond the line.

Is there a God or Not?

I've this for years. Spent time as a Catholic and some time in the new age movement. I've explored Sufism, Buddhism and have been a practicing Wiccan for years. Currently I've been flirting with Atheism.

Officially I can see why Atheists are correct. The peer reviewed current science is on your side. There is no denying that. Yet at the micro level something weird is happening with the quarks which are the components of electrons, protons and neutrons of matter. Appearing to disappear and then a micro moment latter to reappear. Science will probably come up with an explanation for that. 

There is another word for God, Nature. I truly do not believe in an actual God but reality can sure be weird. I've have had to much experience with that weirdness to dismiss the notion something beyond the ordinary is going on. Whether or not we have a life after physical death. Probably not but I can't dismiss the possibility.
